I already own one of these nice newer Silvertone 1423's, but I would like to install other pick-ups. Preferably P90's. But I'm super unsure if these will fit. Is this a normal humbucker format? Would P90's in humbucker format fit? Unfortunately I haven't found any detailed information on the Silvertone website. Bare Nuckle has beautiful BLUE NOTE HSP90 P90's in humbucker format that I would like to install. I would appreciate any help. Thanks and greetings from Germany.

I bought the re-issue of the Silvertone Jupiter 1423. I am old enough to remember these in the sears catalogue and several of my friends had the originals. It plays very well with good neck and fretwork and sounds great with all electronics working well.

Johnson was a musical genius - even if he reshaped Blues already circulating, it's for certain he could repeat on his guitar whatever he heard over the radio or off a phonograph record. His music speaks for itself. Lyrically, rhythmically, in the use of narrative voices (listen to how he used his guitar as a partner, and himself sings in different registers to create a conversation between characters in his songs. Easy to miss this, but it's an incredible performance device. Poet from reality - he brings images from life into his lyrics that will haunt the careful listener. Brave soul. Confronted the truth of his times like Woody Guthrie or Bob Dylan. That major. Lived and died like a true artist - on the front foot - not copying - would not have a bar of the cut-and-paste product they call music in 2024. I have a 1965 Silvertone 1449, Including the built in amp in the case. It still works. I bought it because my dad had one. It was the first electric I ever even held in my hands. It is still very cool. I see the new ones don't have the white textured tape around the edge. I didn't notice in this video whether the volume and tone were reversed. They are backwards on the original 1448. Plus the tuning machines turn the wrong way. It takes a little getting used to.
